Two looks are moving at once.

The newest home collections are making that clear. One current direction is becoming cleaner and more graphic: black and white, reduced palettes, strong modernist lines and simpler sculptural forms. Another is becoming softer: curved edges, scallops, richer colour and materials that invite touch. Both are happening at the same time. Houzz data gives the softer movement additional weight. Searches for scalloped tile have risen more than threefold, while tactile finishes are also seeing substantial growth.

For buyers, that means the opportunity is not necessarily to predict one winning aesthetic. It is to know which customer each product is for.
